Shonda Rhimes: Changing the world one show at a time

Shonda Rhimes is my hero. This post was going to be a deeper look at Shonda Rhimes, her writing and how she’s changing television for women of color — women in general but particularly women of color.  Instead, I just want to admire and support her by continuing doing what I do… watch her television shows and occasionally Facebook and Blog about them.  She’s a scripting and producing genius. Just look at her body of work:

1999 Introducing Dorothy Dandridge
2002 Crossroads
2004 The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement
2005–present Grey’s Anatomy
2007–2013 Private Practice
2012-present Scandal

She is a history maker. And to really cement my admiration of her, she’s from my hometown, Chicago.  Here’s a little clip from Melissa Harris-Perry’s watch party for Scandal. Love it.  Check it out.
